4K IPTV streams channels and movies in Ultra HD (3840×2160) — four times the detail of Full HD. To watch it you need a 4K TV, a 4K device (Firestick 4K, Apple TV 4K, Nvidia Shield, Formuler) and about 25 Mbps per stream. IPTVMaple includes 4K sports, channels and movies in every plan.
What’s available in 4K
- Live sports on 4K and UHD feeds — including Sky Sports UHD and 4K event channels
- Canadian channels delivered in high-bitrate 4K feeds
- 4K movies and series in the on-demand library
What you need for 4K IPTV
| Requirement | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Internet | 25 Mbps per 4K stream; wired or 5 GHz Wi-Fi |
| Device | Fire TV Stick 4K / 4K Max, Apple TV 4K, Nvidia Shield, Formuler Z11 |
| TV | 4K TV with an HDCP 2.2 HDMI port |
| App | TiviMate, iPlayTV or IMPlayer |
HD vs Full HD vs 4K
- HD (720p) — fine for phones and small screens; ~5–10 Mbps.
- Full HD (1080p) — sharp on most TVs; ~10–15 Mbps.
- 4K (2160p) — best on 55″ and larger TVs; ~25 Mbps.
Not every broadcast is produced in 4K. When a 4K feed isn’t available, you’ll get the best HD version instead.
Premium IPTV features
Besides picture quality, a premium IPTV service should offer anti-freeze servers, catch-up, a full TV guide, fast channel switching and real support. IPTVMaple includes all of it in every plan — no “premium tier” upsell. See plans and prices.
How much bandwidth do several 4K screens need?
| 4K screens at once | Download speed to plan for |
|---|---|
| 1 | 25 Mbps |
| 2 | 50 Mbps |
| 3 | 75 Mbps |
Add a margin for other devices on your network. If your connection can’t sustain 4K on every screen, use HD on the extra TVs.
How to be sure you’re watching 4K
- Pick a channel marked 4K in the guide, and a programme that is produced in 4K.
- Check that your device’s output is set to 4K in its display settings, and that the HDMI port supports 4K.
- Look at your TV’s info overlay or the player’s stream info, which shows the resolution.
Many live broadcasts are still produced in HD, so a 4K channel can show HD content. That is the broadcaster’s choice, not a fault of your setup.
Best settings for 4K sports
- Use Ethernet. See the buffering fixes.
- Turn on auto frame rate in TiviMate, or “Match frame rate” on Apple TV.
- Switch off your TV’s motion smoothing for live sports if you see artifacts.

4K, UHD, HD, 8K, Full HD: what the labels mean
“IPTV 4K”, “4K IPTV” and “IPTV premium 4K” just mean channels streamed at ultra-high definition. “HD IPTV” and “IPTV full HD” are 720p or 1080p. “IPTV 8K” is mostly a marketing label: there is almost no 8K broadcast content, and no normal home connection or device is needed for it. “Private IPTV” and “IPTV max” are names of plans, not technical standards. What you actually need for 4K is a device that supports HEVC, an HDMI 2.0 port, and about 25 Mbps per screen. Devices: IPTV boxes, Firestick 4K. If you see buffering see buffering fixes.
4K OTT IPTV, IP TV 4K, IPTV 8K: same thing, different labels
“OTT” (over the top) just means the stream reaches you over the open internet instead of a cable company’s private network, which is how all independent IPTV works. So “4K OTT IPTV”, “IP TV 4K” and “IPTV 4K OTT” describe the same service: 4K channels streamed over your normal internet connection. Searches for “IPTV 8K” or “iptv8k” are mostly provider names; there are no regular 8K live channels to stream, and 4K is the top quality on any IPTV service today, including ours.

Before you pick a 4K plan, run Speedtest on the device you will watch on (not your phone) to check you have about 25 Mbps per 4K screen.
